Project Description
This commercial fit-out project involved the complete interior strip-out and full refurbishment of a 1,200 square foot retail unit in Knutsford town centre, Cheshire. The client — an independent fashion boutique — required a high-end interior that would reflect the premium positioning of their brand and create a welcoming, well-lit retail environment designed to maximise dwell time and sales conversions. Our team produced full drawings and specifications in advance, working closely with the client and their designer to ensure every detail was agreed before a single tool was picked up.
The fit-out was delivered over four weeks, working largely out of trading hours to minimise disruption to surrounding tenants and ensure the unit was handed over on schedule for the client’s opening date. The scope covered full partition removal, new stud partitioning, suspended ceiling with recessed track lighting, bespoke joinery including a curved reception desk and floor-to-ceiling display shelving, luxury vinyl tile flooring, full electrical installation, and a complete paint finish throughout. Our in-house team handled every trade from first fix to final clean — no subcontractors, no coordination burden on the client.
- Bespoke Joinery Throughout: Curved reception desk in gloss white with LED underlighting, floor-to-ceiling display shelving in warm oak veneer, and a full-length fitting room with velvet curtain track.
- Track Lighting System: Suspended ceiling with recessed track lighting throughout — fully adjustable directional spotlights on a dimmer system to highlight product displays and create atmosphere.
- Luxury Vinyl Tile Floor: Large format light stone-effect LVT throughout the retail floor and back-of-house areas — durable, easy to maintain, and premium in appearance.
- Full Electrical Installation: : New consumer unit, retail-grade socket distribution, CCTV conduit, data cabling, external signage feed, and alarm first-fix all completed by our own electricians.
- Handed Over On Time: The unit was handed over clean, snagged, and ready for the client's opening day — delivered exactly on the agreed programme with no overrun.
